Accredited Certificate in

Integrative Coaching

About the course

The Accredited Certificate in Integrative Coaching (ACIC) is presented by fourteen of the leading figures in the field of coaching. Between them, they have over 350 years of combined coaching experience!

Integrative coaching is unlike most coach training programs that you teach you to coach in a specific style. We will believe in introducing you to a variety of coaching styles, a range of diverse models and different schools of thought. During your training journey, you will be encouraged to experiment with different approaches and then integrate what suits you best into your own unique style of coaching practice.

Evidence-Based

We share evidence-based research and studies to provide a high-quality coaching experience.

Who is the course for?

Our course is designed for individuals who are committed to supporting and helping people to make positive change in their behaviour and mindset to improve their lives. The course is ideal for those new to coaching as well as those with established coaching practices who want to extend their knowledge and skillsets.

The Certificate will be of interest to sports coaches, educators, healthcare professionals, personal trainers, social workers, group facilitators, managers and anyone involved in helping others to learn and grow towards their potential.

Whether you intend to use this course to work on a professional basis or become a better listener, communicator and improve your relationships, this training is likely to have a transformative influence on your life.

Accredited Award in Coach Training (AACT)

Our program has been awarded the Accredited Award in Coach Training (AACT) from the world-renowned Association for Coaching (AC). As one of our students, you will have access to 1 year of free AC membership and valuable resources of the ACs Student Hub.

There is no requirement to become an individually accredited coach, our Accredited Certificate in Integrative Coaching provides you with what you need to be able to work with clients. However, if after completing the course you do decide to become an individually accredited coach to achieve professional coach status with AC, we will guide you through this process. You will be required to have 3 months of supervision, 75 coaching hours, a 500-1000 word reflection on your coaching practice since initial training plus one client reference. Completing our course will enable you to fast-track the process as you are likely to have met a lot of the AC criteria by full participation in our Accredited Certificate in Integrative Coaching.

What’s included in the course?

The course consists of 15 modules. Each module contains the following –

  • Three recorded lectures by the module leader
  •  Practical exercises and activities designed to develop your coaching skills
  • Scientific and non-scientific articles plus selected chapters from the core course books.
  • Reflective practice where you journal your experiences of the practical and coaching exercises.
  • Access to the Discussion Forum where you can ask questions, share your experiences, create study groups and connect with the course facilitators and fellow students.

Once you have completed the program there is a whole module dedicated to helping you establish your coaching business.

What Topics are covered?

Each of the 15 modules is taught by one of our world-leading experts. When you enrol you will get immediate access to Module 1, ‘Introduction to Coaching’. A week later you will receive access to Module 2 and so on each week for 15 weeks. You can download the full syllabus HERE

How much time will I need to study?

Each of the modules contains around 90 minutes of recorded videos, divided into 3 sessions. You’ll be asked to read 1 chapter from the course books for each session and encouraged to engage without additional sources. Each session contains 3 suggested coaching exercises and you are expected to complete one of them. On average, each of the modules will take 12 hours, making a total of 180 for the complete course.

What is the duration of the course?

You can take as long as you need to complete the course. If you finish one module per week then you could finish the course in 15 weeks but you may choose to work at a slower pace that suits your personal schedule.

Is there a time limit to complete the course?

No, the modules remain open to you for as long as you need to complete the course and you can always return to view a module if you wish.

Are there any exams?

As part of the Accredited Certificate in Integrative Coaching Course, you will be required to complete two assignments for each module.

The first assignment consists of a few multiple-choice questions at the end of each module, designed to ensure you are fully engaging with the material. There is no penalty for wrong answers and you will be able to attempt the questions again.

The second assignment is a log of your reflections in a journal as you work through the exercises and coach your practice clients. At the end of each module, you’ll be asked to submit your reflections on three exercises or practice coaching sessions.

Finally, at the end of the course, in line with the AC’s requirement for accreditation, you’ll be required to submit 500-1000 words on your personal coaching approach and a 500-1000 words case study.

Are there any materials I need to buy?

Throughout the course, you will be offered free articles, book chapters and e-books. However, you will be required to purchase two core reading books. These are –

  • The Coaches’ Handbook: The Complete Practitioner Guide for Professional Coaches, by Jonathan Passmore.
  • The Coaching Manual: The Definitive Guide to The Process Principles and Skills of Personal Coaching, by Julie Starr

We need to make sure these are in our library and add a link to them
